Ngl, October is slowing turning into one of my favorite months. I’m liking how the leaves are changing colors and the weather is getting cooler. I can’t wait to wear my fall boots and light sweaters. If only the weather stayed like this, then I would be good.

But fall is a reminder that winter is coming soon, and I’m not with all that. I’ve lived with snow my entire life. Each year, I’m just as shocked as the new residents at the snow. Like, “How dare the snow come back again?” Insert shocked face, pearl grasp and a ghastly sigh. I used to like winter, back when we actually had snow days. Now a days, it’s not cold enough to freeze, but not warm enough not to…. and life just goes on….

This October, The Hubz and I created a new budget for the fifty-leventh time. This one is going to work though, I’m sure of it! Sarcasm aside, I believe it will be just based on the times we are living in. We’re not “broke” per say, but we definitely can’t just rain money on things that we don’t need anymore. Like, we actually “got food at home” that we have to start eating now. I’m not looking forward to it because there’s something about outside food that makes life so much easier. But in all honesty, we’ve been complaining about the things we buy lately, which is also fueling our “stop buying ish” motto.

I just had to send back 2 online orders. First of all, that’s what I get for listing to TikTok lying ahhhhhh. But secondly, why can’t things just be right? So, listening to TikTok, I bought some damn SKIMS. I know, I know, but hear me out. I stopped going to the gym and the belly grew back. I wanted something to suck it in so I wouldn’t have to start going back, WRONG! (Charlie Murphy voice, RIP) The shiii came and it was poorly made, plus it was damaged, like dayum… somebody else returned it and y’all sent it to me? Anyway, all the bras didn’t fit and looked like my husband sewed it in the dark. SKIMS costs a lil bit too much to be looking like that, IJS. So anyway, I had to send it back and they charged me $6.00 for shipping it back. Now, for those of you who are new to me, paying for shipping will literallly have me cancel the whole order. I’m too old to be paying for shipping when I’m already spending my money. So that there was enough to piss me off. Needless to say, I’m not shopping at SKIMS anymore and I no longer trust TikTok. 😒

Anyway, on the bright side, tis the season for hot candied apple cider. I love all things candy appled and no, I do not like anything pumpkin. For the record, I have not tried anything pumpkin, but I already know I don’t like it. I do like the colors and the look of pumpkin but it feels like more of a decor type of item. Eating a pumpkin to me would feel like I was eating the kale off my appetizer plate. I mean, my man likes pumpkin. Does that count? Anyhoo, thanks for allowing me to rant about SKIMS and how the whole situation supports my new budgeting attempt. I’ll let you know how it goes. ✌🏾
